Practice essay "Coney Island"

Coney island is a poem written by James weil. James weil talks about how an amusement park is similar to life. He compares life and prizes with life situations. The poem tries to teach kids about life by relating it to an amusement park.

James makes some life lessons in the poem. He says "on a roller coaster ups and downs and seen my helium hopes break skyward without me." He's saying how he felt high at the top of the world, but then something in his life brought him down and that opportunity gone. The quote relates to ups and downs in life.

In the poem he talks opportunities in life. For example "how many more times around do I have to catch the brass ring sun." He's describing opportunities in life, and how if you take to long to grab the brass ring sun your time could be up.

The poem was placed to demonstrate his expiereences in life. He is using this poem to show his expierence to coney island and how his life was during the war. James wanted to show his life at an amusement park.

James weil is the author of the poem coney island. He talks about the rides and games. He also adds life lessons that match each ride correctly.
